PUP to have five new rates for new entrants

The Pandemic Unemployment Payment (PUP) will now have five rates when it reopens to new entrants who have been temporarily laid off as a result of the latest restrictions.

The top rate will be €350, which will be available to those earning €400 or more per week.

Those who received wages between €300 and €399 will be entitled to €300.

€250 will be made available to those earning between €200-€299, while €203 will be made available to those earning €151.50-€200.

A new rate of €150 will be paid to those who had previously earned less than €151.50.

The PUP will be made available only to those who lose their employment as a direct result of the reintroduction of measures announced last week.
