NPHET advises indoor events operate at 50% capacity

The National Public Health Emergency Team has advised Government to limit concerts and indoor events to 50% capacity over the coming weeks.

In a letter sent to Government, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Tony Holohan advised that restrictions on indoor hospitality should be brought back to where they were prior to October 22nd.

This would likely mean a closing time of 11pm and no bar service.

The letter further advises that a limit of 50% capacity should be imposed for indoor cultural, entertainment, community and sporting events.

The letter recommends that such restrictions remain in place until January 9th.
