Gardaí respond to violent outbreak ahead of FAI final

Gardaí have responded to an outbreak of violence that occurred in the Irishtown area of Dublin ahead of the FAI final at the nearby Aviva Stadium.

Scuffles and fights had broken out outside a pub located in the area as fans gathered ahead of the meeting of Bohemians and St. Patrick’s Athletic.

Video footage circulating online shows bottles and flares being thrown as fights broke out.

Gardaí responded to the incident and quickly restored the peace but have not yet made any arrests in relation to the incident.

An investigation into the matter currently remains ongoing.
