Snow possible for parts of country later this week

According to Met Éireann, snow is a possibility for certain parts of the country later this week with the lowest temperatures expected to drop towards the freezing point on Wednesday night.

The lowest temperature of -1C is forecasted for Thursday.


Showers are expected to turn into sleet on Friday evening with the highest temperatures being just 7C and 9C.

Showers of sleet and snow are likely to fall over the north and west with the lowest temperatures being between 0C and 4C.

Although a freezing week is expected, early indications suggest that the weather will be milder heading into next week.
