Irish and UK leaders meet in Wales amid Brexit negotiations

A meeting of the British-Irish Council is taking place in Wales today.

The meeting of politicians across the UK and Ireland comes as negotiations between the UK and the EU continue about post-Brexit trading arrangements in Northern Ireland.

The Northern Ireland Protocol will be strongly discussed.

Brexit Minister David Frost was urged by political parties in Northern Ireland to find an agreement with the EU over the Protocol.

The pandemic, as well as climate change will also be discussed at the meeting.
