Teenager (15) dies following tragic incident at school in Skibbereen

A teenager has died following a tragic incident that occurred at a school in Skibbereen, Co. Cork.

The 15-year-old boy was involved in a medical emergency at Skibbereen Community School, resulting in emergency services along with the Community Air Ambulance rushing to the scene.


The boy was transported to Cork University Hospital to receive treatment but he unfortunately passed away later on.

Gardaí are investigating the incident and are treating the teen’s death as a tragic accident. A file is being prepared for the Coroner’s Court.

According to the Independent.ie, a Garda spokeswoman stated that no further details or information regarding the incident are available.
