Russia has nothing to do with Poland-Belarus border crisis – Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin has denied any involvement with the migrant crisis that has taken place at the border of Poland and Belarus.

This comes as Putin was accused of masterminding the crisis while being orchestrated by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stated, “This attack which Lukashenko is conducting has its mastermind in Moscow, the mastermind is President Putin.”

He added that both Belarus and Russia are orchestrating the migrant crisis to destabilise Europe while using people as political weapons.

During an interview with state broadcaster Vesti, the Russian leader responded to the accusations by stating, “I want everyone to know. We have nothing to do with it”.

Thousands of migrants have been trapped at the border between Belarus and Poland, leaving them to suffer in terrible conditions.

In a forest close to the border between the two nations, the body of a young Syrian man was found which brings the migrant death toll at the border to 11.

Police stated that the body was discovered yesterday and that the cause of death could not be determined at the scene.

It has been estimated by Polish border guards that up to 4,000 migrants are camped out along the border where a barbed wire fence has been constructed to deter migrants from crossing the Polish border.

The Polish Senate has also approved the construction of a €350 million border wall along the border of Poland and Belarus.
