Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has been accused of bringing migrants from the Middle East and Africa to Minsk before forcing them to the borders of Poland, Latvia and Lithuania.

However, migrants have now been left trapped between the borders of both countries in terrible conditions which are expected to get worse as winter approaches.

The EU is already preparing fresh sanctions for Belarus as a result of the migrant crisis that Lukashenko has been accused of orchestrating.

It’s believed that Lukashenko’s actions are in retaliation against previous sanctions imposed on it by the EU due to electoral fraud as well as forcing a Ryanair flight to land in Minsk to arrest an opposition journalist on board the flight.

Lukashenko has now threatened to cut off its transit of gas supply to Europe if the EU follows through with its new sanctions.
