Gardaí urgently appealing for information after man hospitalised with serious head injuries in Dublin

Gardaí are appealing for information after a man was found in Dublin with serious head injuries yesterday evening.

The man is currently in Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown and is understood to be in critical condition.


The man was found and reported by a member of the public at a green area beside Mellowes Avenue yesterday evening shortly before 8pm.

Gardaí in Finglas are currently investigating the circumstances of the man’s injuries.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was near Mellowes Avenue, Mellowes Road, Kildondan Road or Cardiffsbridge Road between 7:30pm and 8:30pm yesterday evening to contact them.


They are also asking for anyone in possession of dash-cam footage or other video footage to make it available to them.

Anyone with information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Finglas Garda Station at 01 666 7500, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
