Two teenagers due in court over incident at Howth Junction DART Station

Two teenage boys were due in court this morning following an incident that occurred earlier this year at Howth Junction DART Station.

Both boys will be appearing before Dublin Children’s Court in relation to the incident that occurred on the 1st of April.

During the incident, a group of youths gathered at the platform while a DART was preparing to depart with video footage showing some of the teenagers intimidating people who were running for the train.

A woman who was running for the train tripped and fell off the platform between the locomotive after one of the youths pretended to throw his bike at her, causing her to lose balance and fall.

She was rescued by onlookers but was not seriously injured.

After the footage was widely shared online, Gardaí arrested three teenagers on suspicion of violent disorder. Two of the teenagers have now been charged.
