Half-naked man who attacked pedestrians with knife shot dead in Norway

A man who reportedly attacked passers-by with a knife on the streets of Oslo, Norway has been shot dead by police.

Norwegian media published footage of the alleged attacker, naked from the waist up and with a knife.

Police said that there has been more than one victim, but gave no information about their current condition.

Police said a patrol car drove into a building to halt the attacker’s progress, he then attacked the police vehicle and managed to open a door.

Police spokesman Torgeir Brenden said several shots were then fired at the man, he was then rushed to a nearby hospital where he died.

Last month, a man with a bow-and-arrow and knife killed five people in a small town southwest of Oslo.
