Man arrested after woman found dead at Dublin apartment

Gardaí have launched a murder investigation after the body of a 32-year-old woman was discovered in her home in Dublin this morning.

The woman was discovered with serious injuries at an apartment in Charlestown in Finglas at around 6:15am.


A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene, he was known to the woman.

He is currently detained at Finglas Garda Station where he can be questioned for up to 24 hours.

The woman’s body remains at the scene for examination.


Gardaí say they are not looking for anyone else at the current time.

The man and the victim are believed to be originally from South America.

Door-to-door enquiries are currently taking place.
