The counties with the highest and lowest uptake of the Covid-19 vaccine have been revealed

According to the latest data, there are still 10 counties where more than 10% of the population are not yet fully vaccinated.

Only three counties have a vaccination rate above 95% for eligible people.

Waterford has the highest vaccination rate in Ireland, with 96.6% of the population over 12 fully vaccinated.

Carlow has a vaccination rate of 96.4%, while Wexford has a vaccination rate of 95%.

Wicklow, Tipperary and Sligo all have 94% of their eligible population vaccinated.

Figures released by the HSE show that Monaghan has the lowest vaccination rate at 80.9%, followed by Donegal at 81.3% and Laois at 84.7%.

In Dublin, Offaly, Longford, Cavan and Kilkenny more than one in ten eligible people have not received a vaccine.

The HSE is continuing to use pop-up clinics and information campaigns to get more people to take the vaccine.
