WATCH: Alec Baldwin speaks out publicly for the first time since fatally shooting crew member

Actor and Producer Alec Baldwin has spoken out publicly for the first time since accidentally fatally shooting cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on a film set in New Mexico.

Baldwin said the Police had ordered him not to make any public comment on the investigation.

“She was my friend. The day I arrived in Santa Fe and started shooting I took her to dinner with Joel,” Baldwin said.

“We were a very, very well-oiled crew shooting a film together and then this horrible event happened.”

He said tragic incidents happen on film sets from time-to-time, but this was a “one in a trillion” episode.

Prosecutors have said they have not ruled out filing criminal charges over the tragic incident.
