New nightclub restrictions include one metre social distancing at bar

The new nightclub restrictions in Ireland, which are currently in effect, require people to stand one metre apart while queuing at the bar.

Tickets will be required to be purchased at least one hour before entry to nightclubs, and only people with tickets will be permitted to congregate outside clubs.

Patrons will be allowed to stand at the bar if they are ordering, paying for or collecting food or drink.

If someone in the club starts showing Covid symptoms, there will be a designated isolation room available, where they can wait until further instruction.

Toilets will also be required to have a one-way system, with increased hand towels to reduce transmission.

The new restrictions came into effect from today, October 29th.
