Witnesses urged to come forward after man found in serious condition on road in Clare

An investigation is underway by gardaí after a man was found in serious condition on a road in Co. Clare.

The man, aged in his 30s, was found in an unconscious state with serious injuries on the Clon Road at approximately 9pm last night.


The scene was attended by gardaí and other emergency services and the man was subsequently taken to University Hospital Limerick to receive treatment for his injuries.

Gardaí are currently trying to establish the circumstances leading up to the incident, however, they believe that the man may have been assaulted.

Inquiries are being conducted by gardaí in the area while witnesses are urged to come forward.
