Driver in Waterford fined for speeding, immediately speeds off and is fined again

A driver in Waterford was fined for speeding, travelling at 112 kilometres per hour in an 80 kilometre per hour speed limit.

Gardaí pulled the driver over during a routine speed check, and issued the driver with a fine.


The driver then sped off, and was found just moments later to be speeding once again.

The driver was driving at 101 kilometres per hour the second time, and was issued with a second fine.

“Waterford Roads Policing Unit were conducting speed checks when the found this motorist travelling at 112kph in a 80kph zone & were issued a FCPN,” Gardaí said.


“They then were found speeding again, this time at 101kph as they left the traffic stop. They were stopped & another FCPN was issued.”
