Two children die after drag racer crashes into spectators

Two children have been killed and eight other people have been injured after a drag racer collided with spectators after losing control during a racing event.

The incident occurred at the Kerrville-Kerr County Airport in Texas, where thousands of people were in attendance.


It’s understood that the driver “lost control and left the runway, crashing into parked vehicles and striking spectators”.

Two boys, aged six and eight, were killed following the collision.

The eight injured people were hospitalised following the incident with the condition of a 46-year-old woman being described as critical.


The condition of a 26-year-old man is currently unknown while a four-year-old boy and a three-month-old girl were taken to hospital as a precaution.

The majority of the other injuries that were sustained following the incident are not believed to be life-threatening.
