Nightclubs are now ticket-only events, as guidelines announced

Nightclubs and events will be ticket-only affairs in line with the latest Fáilte Ireland guidelines.

Nightclubs will be permitted to reopen today without the need for tickets and over the Bank Holiday weekend, but from next week the new restriction will commence.

Tickets will be provided in the form of digital, rather than having to obtain paper tickets.

People entering nightclubs will be required to wear a face covering, except when sitting down and dancing.

The Digital Covid-19 Certificate and photo I.D will also be checked at the door

Live music events will be permitted to operate at 100% capacity for seated crowds, but for standing events there will be a limit of 1,500 people.

You can look at the full restrictions being eased from today here.
