Thousands of Dublin homes without power following electrical fault

Thousands of homes in Dublin are without power on Monday evening following an electrical fault.

The areas affected are in Dublin 3 and Dublin 5, with Drumcondra, Fairview and Clontarf among the regions affected by the fault at approximately 6pm.


ESB Networks has responded to the fault and is seeking to repair the problem as soon as possible.

“We have a fault in Clontarf and surrounding areas of Dublin 3 and Dublin 5,” ESB Networks said.

“We are working to repair as quickly as possible.”


Anyone experiencing issues in relation to the fault is encouraged to log the fault online on the ESB Networks website here.
