COVID-19: 2,180 new confirmed cases in Ireland

The Department of Health has confirmed a further 2,180 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

Deaths are being released weekly due to the cyber attack on the HSE. As of Wednesday, 5,280 people diagnosed with Covid-19 died in Ireland.

The Department of Health has further confirmed that there are 406 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19, with 71 in ICU.

Yesterday, there were 413 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19, with 73 in ICU.

In Northern Ireland, there has been a further 1,218 cases of Covid-19 reported.

Four further people diagnosed with the virus have also died.
