WATCH: What’s your opinion on Covid-19 vaccine passports?

As the world gradually reopens from the Covid-19 pandemic, certain measures have been implemented to make the reopening more manageable.

One of these measures is vaccine passports, which reveals an individual’s immunity status in relation to being fully vaccinated.

Vaccine passports were introduced for the purposes of indoor activities such as dining, cinemas, pubs etc… so that individuals who are fully vaccinated could partake in such activities to bring back some form of normality to their lives.

They have been proven to be effective in allowing certain indoor activities to go ahead without the use of face coverings in some situations.

However, the concept of vaccine passports has also been met with criticism, with some claiming that they impinge on an individual’s rights as they force the disclosure of a person’s immunity status.

Others claim that they are discriminatory as they prevent people who are unvaccinated from partaking in indoor activities.
