Man (70s) due in court after being caught with €310k worth of MDMA during stop and search

A man in his 70s will be appearing before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning following a stop and search that took place last night.

The stop and search occurred at 10pm in Dublin city centre where the 78-year-old man was caught in possession of €310k worth of MDMA.


Following the drugs seizure, the man was arrested and detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act 1996.

The elderly man has since been charged and is due to appear before the courts this morning.
