COVID-19: 1,358 new cases confirmed in Ireland, with 400 hospitalisations

The Department of Health has confirmed a further 1,358 new cases of Covid-19 in Ireland along with 400 hospitalisations.

The figures were confirmed as of 8am this morning. Of the 400 patients being treated in hospital for the virus, 75 are currently in ICU with the five-day moving average being 1,578.

A reduction can be observed when compared to yesterday’s figures with 1,384 cases being confirmed.

However, there has been an increase of one in terms of ICU figures with 74 cases being reported yesterday and 75 being reported today.

As of Thursday, there has been a total of 5,280 Covid-19 deaths reported in Ireland.
