The event will also be attended by Stormont’s First and Deputy First Ministers, DUP’s Paul Givan and Sinn Féin’s Michelle O’Neill.

The event is also taking place just weeks ahead of the COP26 Climate Conference in Glasgow and is being hosted by Chambers Ireland and the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

With the government announcing its revised National Development Plan, it’s said that €1 billion of the €3.5 billion fund is being made available for the next ten years through the Taoiseach’s Shared Island Fund and could help finance projects such as cross-border greenways and peatland restoration.
