Netflix has announced that a new true-crime documentary will be released later this month.
The documentary ‘The Raincoat Killer: Chasing a Predator in South Korea’ chronicles the hunt for South Korean serial killer Yoo Young-Chul, who killed at least 20 people between the years 2003 and 2004 across the country’s capital Seoul.
Expressing a deep hatred towards the wealthy, they soon became his primary victims with rich elderly people being his main focus.
Yoo then turned to sex workers, who he already had a history of abusing, after he was rejected by a prostitute.
The three-part documentary will feature the detectives and criminal profilers who worked on the case and they will reveal how they investigated the murders before bringing Yoo to justice.
Netflix will also be using never before seen archival footage and interviews of the original case
The documentary is set to land on Netflix on the 22nd of October with the trailer for the series being available on the streaming service via the following link: https://www.netflix.com/ie/title/81087760
