WATCH: Climate protesters dragged off road by motorists in UK

Video footage is circulating online of Insulate Britain protesters being dragged off a road by motorists in the UK.

Described as “irresponsible crusties” by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, the protesters brought traffic to a halt as they blocked a London road with their demonstration.

In one clip, a tearful woman begs the protesters to move so she can see her elderly mother who was in an ambulance on the way to Canterbury Hospital.

A spokesperson for the group issued an apology for causing a disruption to traffic, which is one of the many disruptions that have been caused by climate activists in the UK.

Over the past few weeks, protesters from Extinction Rebellion blocked major roads throughout the UK, including the M25 and M4.

Over 100 Insulate Britain protesters were served with an injunction against road-blocking demonstrations at the Royal Courts of Justice.

Spokesman for Insulate Britain Liam Norton stated, “We cannot imagine undertaking such acts in normal circumstances. But we believe that the reality of our situation has to be faced.”

He added, “The collapse of the climate is happening around us. We face economic chaos and the breakdown of law and order in a matter of years.”

Boris Johnson described those involved as not being legitimate protesters as well as “doing considerable damage to the economy”.

He added that the government will issue the police with powers “to stop their reckless and selfish behaviour”.
