Four hospitalised after being attacked by man armed with hammer in London

Four people have been hospitalised after being attacked last night by a man armed with a hammer in London

A 38-year-old man has since been arrested in connection to the attack.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:45pm last night on Regent Street where the 38-year-old attacked two women, according to Met Police.

The women, aged in their 30s and 20s were taken to hospital with injuries that are believed to be non-life-threatening.

The man proceeded with his attacks, targeting a woman in her 40s and a man in his 50s at a pub in Glasshouse Street.

Both the man and the woman were taken to hospital following the incident with injuries that are also believed to be non-life-threatening.

Security staff at the pub managed to detain the suspect before he was arrested by police on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

He was taken into custody at a central London police station.
