WATCH: Daniel Craig’s brilliant reaction to possible next James Bond

Actor Daniel Craig has triggered quite a response after expressing his opinion on a suggestion of who the next James Bond will be.

There have been many suggestions for who the next 007 agent will be, with Tom Hardy, Idris Elba and Rege-Jean Page being some of the favourites.

Some of these suggestions have received significant support, especially from former Bond actor Pierce Brosnan, who has backed Idris and Hardy as the next Bond.

However, the soon-to-be-former Bond actor Daniel Craig didn’t seem too keen on one suggestion, which was actor Hugh Jackman.

During an interview on ITV Lorraine, Craig responded to the suggestion of Jackman being the next Bond by saying “He’s not going to be it… over my dead body”.

Expressed in a light-hearted tone with a smile, Craig’s reaction grasped the attention of Jackman himself, who took to Twitter to say; “Well … that kills that rumor! Daniel, mate, you’ll always be @007 to me. #NoTimeToDie . I’m IN. @reallorraine.”

However, this is all just a bit of fun for the two actors, as it must be said that Craig talked about how supportive Jackman was with his new-found fame when he took on the role of Bond.

“He’s been famous for longer than I have and (Jackman said) ‘just enjoy it’ and a switch went off in my head and I went, ‘oh okay yeah’. Because it’s fun, it’s great, and when people like you how nice is that?”

Craig’s final 007 movie ‘No Time To Die’ hits Irish cinemas on the 8th of October 2021.
