Fine Gael suggests having Bank Holiday on Thanksgiving in November

It is looking increasingly likely that Ireland will be getting a further Bank Holiday before the end of the year.

Many suggestions have been thrown around, including a so-called ‘Super Bank Holiday’, which would have a Bank Holiday Friday and Monday in the same weekend.

However, Fine Gael are the latest to throw out a suggestion…

They suggested having the new Bank Holiday on Thanksgiving Day, which is Monday November 29th.

“Are you in favour of a Thanksgiving Bank Holiday on Monday, 29th November?” a post on their Twitter account read.
