Investigation launched after woman in her teens hospitalised after collision with Garda car

An investigation has been launched after a woman in her teens was hospitalised following a crash with an on-duty Garda car.

Gardaí attended the scene on Saturday of the two-vehicle collision on the Deansgrange Road in Dublin 18 in the early hours of Saturday morning (September 25th).


The driver of the car, a woman in her late teens, was taken to St. Vincents Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

The driver of the Garda car, a man in his 30s, was also taken to St. Vincents Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Gardaí confirmed that the matter has been referred to the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) to investigate the incident.


No further information has been released at this time.
