Emergency services respond to ‘serious accident’ after Glenisk plant explosion in Offaly

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a “serious incident” at a dairy plant production facility in Killeigh, Offaly.

Several units of emergency services, including Gardaí, ambulances and the fire brigade are all at the scene of the incident.

A significant level of damage has been done to the facility, but no serious injuries have yet been reported.

Some members of staff were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
