Woman dies after being hit by lorry in Kildare

A woman has died after being struck by a lorry on a motorway in Kildare.

The female pedestrian, who was in her 40s, was seriously injured after being struck by the vehicle on the M7 motorway at roughly 12:30pm.


Emergency services and gardaí attended the scene before the woman was rushed to University Hospital Tallaght, where she has since passed away.

The scene of the crash is being examined, but the road has since reopened to traffic.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed this collision to come forward.
