Investigations are ongoing following a fatal single-vehicle collision that occurred on the M3 motorway in Meath in the early hours of this morning.
The collision occurred at approximately 1am between Junction 5 and Junction 6 on the southbound lane of the M3.
Following the collision, a man in his 50s was killed after his car veered off the road and hit a ditch. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.
As well as witnesses, any road users in possession of dash-cam footage who were travelling on the M3 between Navan and Dunboyne between 12:30am and 1:20am have also been asked to contact gardaí.
