COVID-19: 1,185 new confirmed cases in Ireland

The Department of Health has confirmed a further 1,185 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

Deaths are being announced weekly due to the cyber attack on the HSE. As of Wednesday, 5,179 people have died with Covid-19 in Ireland.


The Department further confirmed that there are currently 292 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19, with 65 in ICU.

Yesterday, there were 309 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19, with 60 in ICU.

In Northern Ireland, there has been a further 1,304 cases of Covid-19 reported.


Ten further people diagnosed with the virus have also died.
