20-year-old motorcyclist dies following collision in Dublin

A 20-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle collision that occurred in Dublin city overnight.

The collision occurred at Inns Quay in Dublin city centre shortly before 4am.


The man was fatally injured after his motorbike left the road and struck a lamp post.

It’s understood that no other vehicles were involved in the collision and the road has since been reopened following a forensic examination.

The man’s body was removed to Dublin City Morgue to undergo a post-mortem examination.


GardaĆ­ are urgently appealing for witnesses or anyone in possession of dash-cam footage of the incident to contact them.
