Garth Brooks planning series of Croke Park gigs in 2022

Country music star Garth Brooks will be planning a series of Croke Park gigs in 2022.

According to Virgin Media, Brooks is currently finalising plans for the gigs and negotiations are in the advanced stage.

Brooks plans to play the series of gigs over a number of dates in September 2022, however, no official comment has been made by Dublin City Council or Croke Park.

Back in the year 2014, the singer cancelled five gigs that were due to take place in Croke Park, leaving 400,000 Irish fans extremely disheartened.

These shows were cancelled as Dublin City Council would only grant a licence for three of the five sell-out gigs, to which Brooks responded by cancelling all five of the shows.

However, it’s hoped that this news might bring a smile to fans of Garth Brooks who have been praying for this return for seven years.
