22-year-old killed following collision in Louth

A young man who was in critical condition following a collision in Louth last Saturday has died.

The 22-year-old motorcyclist was involved in a collision with a car on the N2 in Edmondstown.


The male driver of the car, a man in his late 30s, as well as the passenger, a man in his 60s, were treated at the scene by paramedics.

Gardaí are urgently appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.

Any road users who were travelling on the N2 in the townland of Edmonstown on Saturday evening between 8pm and 8:30pm, who may have camera or dash cam footage, are being asked to contact Gardaí.
