Sinn Féin is the most popular political party in Ireland, according to latest opinion poll

Sinn Féin is the most popular political party in Ireland, according to the latest Sunday Times/Behaviour & Attitudes poll.

According to the poll, Sinn Féin currently leads Fine Gael by 10%. Sinn Féin increased in popularity by 3% to an overall result of 33%.

Fine Gael dropped two percentage points to 23%.

The poll shows that Tánaiste Leo Varadkar’s personal satisfaction rating has fallen by nine points, to 39%.

Sinn Féin’s Mary Lou McDonald also dropped by one point, but remains the most popular party leader, with a 48% satisfaction rating.

Fianna Fáil’s Micheál Martin remains at 45%, Labour’s Alan Kelly (44%), but the Green Party leader Eamon Ryan’s rating has increased to 34%.

The poll shows the overall satisfaction rate of the Government has fallen by four points to 42%.
