Elderly woman dies following road collision in Meath

A woman in her 70s has died following a road collision that occurred in Meath yesterday.

The single-vehicle collision took place in the Bellinter area shortly after 1pm.


The woman, who was the sole occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was subsequently removed to Navan mortuary where a post-mortem will take place.

GardaĆ­ are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.

They are also urging any road users that have dash-cam footage who were travelling in the Bellinter area at the time of the incident to contact them.
