Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau attacked with stones from protesters

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was attacked with stones thrown by protesters during a campaign stop in Ontario.

Trudeau was returning to his campaign bus after visiting a brewery, when the stones were thrown at him.

He was not injured during the incident.

Two people traveling on the same bus were also hit, but neither were injured.

“Political violence is never justified and our media must be free from intimidation, harassment, and violence,” leader of the Conservative Party Erin O’Toole said.

In recent months, Trudeau has faced backlash for his handling of the Covid-19 pandemic and his plans for vaccine mandates.

Recent polls suggest his Liberal Party is slipping behind the opposition Conservative Party.
