COVID-19: 1,144 new confirmed cases in Ireland

The Department of Health has confirmed a further 1,144 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

Deaths are being announced weekly due to the cyber attack on the HSE. As of last Wednesday, 5,112 people have died with Covid-19 in Ireland.


The Department further confirmed that there are currently 384 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19, with 59 in ICU.

Yesterday, there were 362 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19, with 59 in ICU.

In Northern Ireland, there has been a further 1,764 cases of Covid-19 reported.


Nine further people diagnosed with the virus have also died.
