Gardaí investigation launched after man in his 20s assaulted by group of men in Limerick

Gardaí have launched an investigation after a man in his 20s was brutally assaulted by a group of men in Limerick over the weekend.

The young man was rushed to hospital after the attack to be treated for injuries sustained.


The incident occurred at approximately 1am at The Square in Abbeyfeale on Saturday night.

The man was rushed to University Hospital Kerry to be treated for his injuries.

The injuries have been reported as serious, but not life-threatening.


A Garda spokesperson said no arrests have been made at this time.

Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with information to contact them imemdiately.
