Man in his 20s hospitalised after assault in Limerick last night

A man in his 20s was hospitalised after being assaulted in Limerick last night.

The incident occurred in The Square in Abbeyfeale shortly after 1am on Saturday morning.


The man was rushed to University Hospital Kerry to be treated for his injuries.

It has been reported that the young man’s injuries are serious, but not life-thretening.

A Garda spokesperson said no arrests have been made at this time.


Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with information, to contact them immediately.
