COVID-19: 1,703 new confirmed cases in Ireland

The Department of Health has confirmed a further 1,703 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

No information surrounding daily deaths associated with the virus has been released due to the cyber attack on the HSE.

The Department further confirmed that there are currently 363 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19, with 52 in ICU.

Yesterday, there were 353 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19, with 55 in ICU.

In Northern Ireland, there has been a further 1,812 cases of Covid-19 reported.

Seven further people diagnosed with the virus have also died.
