Three teens jailed in Finland for bullying classmate to death

A Finnish court has today sentenced three teenage boys to between eight and ten years in prison for torturing and beating a former classmate to death.

The three defendants were 16-years-old when the attack took place in December 2020.

The tragic event happened after weeks of bullying by the offenders.

All defendants had denied they attempted to murder the victim.

A court ruled the boys had assaulted the victim in a particularly brutal and cruel manner for three hours before he died on December 4th 2020.

The court concluded that the three accused had acted in unison and planned to intoxicate the victim using strong alcohol before assaulting him.

It emerged that the three teenagers knew the victim since nursery.

The assault was carried out at three locations in Helsinki, which all involved punches and kicks to the head, as well as the use of blunt weapons.

The victim died hours after the assault after being left barely clothed and badly beaten in the freezing temperatures.

More than 100 injuries to the victim’s body were recorded.
