Man (50-years-old) charged with murder of 19-year-old Conor O’Brien

A 50-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of 19-year-old Conor O’Brien.

Earl McKevitt appeared before Carlow District Court this afternoon.


McKevitt has an address of Avondale Park, Mullhuddart in Dublin 15.

Detective Sergeant Lee Gavin told the court he charged McKevitt with the murder of Conor O’Brien last night.

The accused made no reply.


Judge Geraldine Carthy remanded McKevitt in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court next Friday.

Conor O’Brien was discovered with a gunshot wound at the back of a house on the Trim Road last Friday morning.
