Man detained in connection with murder of Conor O’Brien in Meath

A man in his 50s has been detained in connection with the murder of a 19-year-old in Enfield, Meath.

The man was arrested in Carlow last night for the possession of a handgun.


Gardaí said that the man is now formally detained for offences connected with the fatal shooting of Conor O’Brien on Thursday night.

The force made no further comment at this time.

O’Brien was discovered with a gunshot wound at the back of a house on the Trim Road last Friday morning.
