The Cabinet Covid Committee will be considering a return to offices from September 20th. Discussions still remain underway at the Cabinet Covid Committee.
A final decision on the matter will be made at a full government meeting tomorrow where exact dates will be considered further.
Minister for Public Expenditure Michael McGrath stated that the easing of Covid-19 restrictions will begin from next week.
He stated that there will not be a declaration that Covid is over but that there will be a gradual transition from regulations to personal responsibility.
He added that indoor activities for children such as communions and confirmations could resume as early as next month.
McGrath stated that a return to offices could resume from the middle of next month but with flexibility from employers while adding that most restrictions will ease by October.
Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly stated that a roadmap in relation to how the country will reopen will be announced tomorrow while adding that the roadmap will be a detailed and comprehensive plan.
Although the health minister said that there is a lot to be optimistic about, he urged that people remain vigilant and keep their guard up.
