As a result of the leak, film companies rushed around social media in an attempt to delete various accounts that were spewing spoilers about what they had observed in the leaked trailer.

The trailer itself falls nothing short of your typical exciting and action-packed marvel trailer, revealing some serious surprises but reassuring fans with some familiar faces.

Tom Holland, Zendaya and Benedict Cumberbatch have been confirmed to make a return for the latest movie, as well as Alfred Molina and Jamie Fox.

Prior speculation suggested that Willem Dafoe would return as the Green Goblin, however, the trailer has now confirmed this to be true.

The movie is scheduled for release on the 17th of December 2021.
